Media Release: Jacaranda Gin Festival returns for second year this Spring - bigger, better and more gin to love!
Back for an epic second year, celebrations have doubled for Jacaranda Gin Festival, coming to Brisbane on Saturday 7th September 2019 at the historical Newstead House, the city’s oldest surviving residence since 1846. As Spring is in full bloom and the Jacarandas begin to paint the verandas with colour, there is no better time to enjoy the beauty of gin surrounded by botanicals in Brisbane. For the gin connoisseurs, fizz fanatics, liquor lovers and the movers and shakers of town...it's your time again to drink and play this Spring!
Connecting with the iconic Newstead House, Jacaranda Gin Festival provides gin lovers with the opportunity to taste the best of craft and popular gins, direct from Australian and International distillers…over 25 and counting! The all-day festival session is designed to savour the sunshine, delight the afternoon and smooth your way through to the evening, plus a VIP option for those who want the full gin-sider experience. The only question is which gin to taste first! The list continues to grow and will be released to the public in a matter of weeks.
Enjoy the flavours of Spring across a series of interactive gin stalls, bar areas or at cocktail stations around the festival. Taking the fun home will be easy, ordering from online partner The Gin Boutique (91 Australian and 41 International brands on offer) and guests will have favourites delivered to their door.
Paired with bites from Brisbane’s best food trucks, stalls and chefs, there will be delicious flavours to enjoy all day. On the stage, there will be more entertainment, with Brisbane’s hottest DJs on deck, plus demonstrations and discussions with the bloggers, experts and ambassadors behind the gin craze.
The excitement continues as tickets are now on sale, giving a number of options to patrons wanting to experience Jacaranda Gin Festival. Starting with the Jacaranda Gin Club, guests can enjoy tastings of their favourite gin from the best Australian and International distillers in the Gin Marketplace. Jacaranda Gin Lounge is the place to be for access to the delights of the breezy verandas of Newstead House, with separate bar access and reserved seating area. The VIP Gintopia is where one can spend their time being treated to the best cocktails, gin tastings and fine food at the exclusive inner veranda area of Newstead House, a comfortable space right in thick of the action.
With more exciting news on its way regarding official partners and gins involved, Jacaranda Gin Festival will be twice the fun in its second year - tickets are already selling fast! For guests travelling from interstate or looking for a weekend gin-cation, the festival’s official accommodation partner Ovolo Hotels will be giving a discounted rate at nearby location Ovolo the Valley, including much needed extras and a Jacaranda Gin Fest recovery breakfast.
