Media Release: An exclusive cocktail list comes to Brisbane for one day only, plus sunshine forecasted for Jacaranda Gin Festival – Saturday 20th October 2018.


Jacaranda Gin Festival is preparing for an exciting week ahead, with the day-long festival taking place this Saturday 20th October from 12pm. With a forecast of 28° and sunny thanks to Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane’s gin lovers and festival goers will be out in full, enjoying the best of Australian and international gin distillers with a side of sunshine! 


Announcing an exciting list of gin distillers, partners and ambassadors last week, the festival will be showcasing the best of Spring flavours and fine hospitality. Australia’s biggest gin festival will be taking over King Street, Brisbane Showgrounds, with ticketed areas including a Jacaranda Gin Club Party, Welcome to Bowen Hills Gin Lounge and Jacaranda VIP Club in Swill Gin Bar. 


For one day only, Australia’s most exclusive cocktail list, unseen anywhere else, will be available to guests, featuring a variety of signature recipes, including Four Pillars Orange Sherbet Cocktail, The Melbourne Gin Company Marine Elderflower Vesper, Ink Gin Fairy Floss Sour and a little freshness from Brookie’s Gin Watermelon Spritz (and many more!). In the VIP Jacaranda Gin Party, the list of cocktails is even more special, with a range of recipes created just for Brisbane’s ultimate gin fans. 


At the festival, guests will be enjoying the world’s most fragrant, versatile and treasured spirit, with a showcase of beautiful botanicals and inspiring drinks by gin distillers at a range of cocktail stations and interactive stalls. 

The list of distillers includes over twenty craft and premier brands, including: Adelaide Hills Distillery 78 Degrees Gin, Fever Tree, Four Pillars Gin, Wisteria Lane Gin & Vodka, Brookies Gin - Cape Byron Distillery, Calibre Craft Spirits – Hell Fire Tasmanian Gin & Mount Compass Gin, Art of Booze, Mt. Uncle Distillery, Bloom Gin, Hayman’s London Dry Gin, Manly Spirits Co., The Splendid Gin, The Melbourne Gin Company, Imbue Distillery, Saleyards Distillery, Ink Gin.

Media Release: Jacaranda Gin Festival announces key event festivities and partners, as Australia’s biggest celebration of gin and botanicals hits Brisbane this October.


Jacaranda Gin Festival is excited to announce an exciting list of gin distillers, partners and ambassadors that will be showcasing the best of Spring flavours and fine hospitality at Australia’s biggest gin festival. With two weeks to go, Jacaranda Gin Festival will be taking over King Street, Brisbane Showgrounds, with ticketed areas including a Jacaranda Gin Club Party, Welcome to Bowen Hills Gin Lounge and  VIP Club in Swill Gin Bar.


Thanks to Lend Lease, the King Street, Brisbane Showgrounds and Welcome to Bowen Hills precinct will be a hive of activity as Brisbane’s gin connoisseurs, fizz fanatics, cocktail lovers join the movers and shakers of the gin industry for a day-long Spring celebration. With previous events attracting thousands of hungry and thirsty guests, the Valley Chamber of Commerce is anticipating the growth of the local craft gin community and distilleries to continue as Brisbane becomes home to the festival.


Welcoming an extensive showcase of Australian and international gin distillers, premium mixers and craft spirits, the festival will see guests tasting and enjoying the most unique flavours and botanicals throughout the different stalls, bars and cocktail stations on site. The developing list includes over twenty craft and premier brands, including: Adelaide Hills Distillery 78 Degrees Gin, Fever Tree, Four Pillars Gin, Wisteria Lane Gin & Vodka, Brookies Gin - Cape Byron Distillery, Calibre Craft Spirits – Hell Fire Tasmanian Gin & Mount Compass Gin, Art of Booze, Mt. Providing easy access to all the brands is online partner The Gin Boutique, who as Australia’s hub for craft gin (with 71 Australian, 31 International and 35 Mixers on offer) will deliver guests’ favourite gin to their door to enjoy after the festival. Paired with bites from Brisbane’s most famous food trucks at Welcome to Bowen Hills or foodie hotspots in King Street, there will be delicious offerings to enjoy all day.


At the festival, guests will be enjoying the world’s most fragrant, versatile and treasured spirit, with a showcase of beautiful botanicals and inspiring drinks by gin distillers at a range of cocktail stations. On this exclusive menu of signature cocktails (only found at Jacaranda Gin Festival), a variety of signature recipes will be available, including Four Pillars Orange Sherbet Cocktail, The Melbourne Gin Company Marine Elderflower Vesper, 23rd Street Signature Gin + Beenleigh Double Barrel Rum Espresso GinTini and a little freshness from Brookie’s Gin Watermelon Spritz.


On the main stage, find demonstrations and discussions with the ambassadors, gin distillers and brains behind the gin craze, showcasing their talents and passion for the Australian gin industry. Join The Patron Saint of Gin, One Drink A Day and Hospoprenuers on stage for a gin-wag while catching masterclasses by Brookies Gin, Melbourne Gin Co., Adelaide Hills Distillery and Art of Booze around the event.
 

Crowning the King and Queen of Gin at the festival will be Flight Centre Australia, offering four winners a chance to escape to Sydney for a gin-cation at Hotel Steyne in Manly, home to The Glasshouse Gin & Tonic Bar.


From the distillery to Jacaranda Gin Fest, the nation’s gin figureheads will descend on Brisbane to showcase their unique products to gin-hungry patrons. With Rydges Fortitude Valley joining the festival as accommodation partner, guests and gin lovers who have travelled across the country wont need to look far to find their home in King Street.

With less than two weeks to go, Jacaranda Gin Festival is the talk of the town and tickets are selling fast for first drinks at 12pm on Saturday 20th October!
